I've talked a lot about how modular homes are more popular in other parts of the country, and how they are more widely accepted as a viable housing option. Here in Arizona, we find ourselves behind the times again. People here believe that homes built in a factory are inferior to site built homes. It doesn't matter if its modular or HUD- no way as good as a stick-home. We have tons of work ahead of us to change that, gang. This state is RIPE for modular homes. Truthfully, I hope no one beats us to the punch. We don't need DR Horton to suddenly realize this would be a great way to go. They have big $ and are a household name across the entire country.
